Dr. Michael Freel received a Master's Degree in Plant Ecology from UNO, and his DVM from Kansas State University in 1989.

Dr. Freel has 2 dogs, Gus and Lucy, and five cats; Elsie, Luther, Decker, Alfie and Tubby.

When he is not at the office, he enjoys organic gardening and watching football, especially the Huskers.
